Privacy Policy

The short version

The Awesome Planner is operated by Everyday Awesome. We collect only the information we need to provide the website, respond when you contact us, deliver the resources you request, send emails you choose to receive, and understand which parts of the site are useful. We do not sell your personal information.

Information you choose to give us

• Email signups and free tools: your first name, email address, signup date and time, IP address when available, and the resource or list you requested.
• Contact form: your name, email address, and message.
• Purchases: purchases are completed on Shopify, not on this website. Shopify and the store operated by Everyday Awesome collect the information needed to process your order and deliver your products.
• Substack: newsletter subscriptions made through Substack are handled by Substack under its own privacy practices.

How Plan What Matters handles your answers

Your working plan is saved in your browser so you can return to it, and it expires after seven days. The Awesome Planner does not save your task list or planning answers in its database.

When you ask us to email your report, your answers are securely sent to our server and report-delivery provider long enough to create and deliver that email. The emailed report will remain in your inbox and may remain in the email provider's delivery records according to its retention practices. We save your email address and the name of the tool for signup and basic lead-magnet reporting, but not the contents of your plan.

Please do not enter passwords, financial account information, medical details, or other highly sensitive information into the tool.

Basic site analytics and browser storage

We record the page visited and product-checkout buttons clicked so we can understand how the website is being used. Our site analytics do not intentionally attach your name or email address to those visits. Our hosting and security providers may process standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and request logs to operate and protect the site.

The site uses browser storage to remember an unfinished Plan What Matters session and certain administrative analytics preferences. You can remove this information by clearing your browser's site data. We currently do not use third-party advertising cookies on this website.

How we use your information

• To deliver a requested report, download, newsletter, or other resource.
• To send planning emails when you have agreed to receive them.
• To respond to questions and support requests.
• To operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website.
• To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights and users.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any marketing email. Transactional or requested report emails may still be sent when necessary to provide something you asked for.

Services that help us run the site

We share information only as needed with service providers that help us provide the website and requested services:

• Flodesk for email subscribers and marketing emails.
• Resend for personalized report delivery and contact-form email notifications.
• Supabase for the website database, authentication, and file storage.
• Vercel for website hosting and security.
• Shopify for checkout, payment processing, and product delivery.
• Substack for the newsletter and subscriptions made there.

These providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate. Their own privacy policies explain their practices.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, to maintain business records, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Marketing subscriber information is generally kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Contact messages may be kept while we handle your request and maintain necessary business records.

Your choices and privacy requests

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, request a copy, correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to certain uses. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Children's privacy

This website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our website, services, or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top will show when it was last updated. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice when appropriate.
